XRP Price Hits a Glass Ceiling Near $1.14 as a Lack of Trading Volume Stalls the Breakout

XRP (XRP-USD) is crashing directly into a glass ceiling near the $1.14 level. This is because the token is currently facing a lack of trading volume, which is stalling its breakout attempt. Even though buyers successfully stepped in to defend the asset during a quick drop toward $1.11, the rally quickly fizzled out without a strong surge in market participation. The token is fighting to turn its recent rebound into a cleaner upward move, but it is hitting a wall due to a lack of follow-through from the broader market. This leaves crypto traders watching whether the current zone will finally become a solid floor or remain another tough barrier.

Capitol Hill Delays XRP’s Potential Rally

The broader market lost a near-term boost when the U.S. Senate canceled a scheduled vote on the CLARITY Act right before its congressional recess. This political delay has removed a key near-term catalyst and cooled some of the immediate excitement for digital assets across the board.

On a brighter note, institutional interest remains surprisingly steady despite the regulatory headwinds. Spot XRP exchange-traded funds brought in $17.19 million last week, marking their ninth week in a row of net positive inflows.

XRP Buyers Defend the Floor

The most intense action during the 24-hour trading session happened right around the daily low of $1.11. Trading volume at that low point surged to 106.5 million XRP, which is roughly 129% higher than the daily average.

Bulls used that buying activity to push the token all the way up to $1.15, though sellers quickly pushed back at those higher levels. XRP ultimately slid backward to trade around $1.12, causing it to underperform the broader crypto index by 143 basis points.

Traders Watch These Key XRP Price Levels

XRP remains locked in a strict holding pattern between its floor at $1.11 and its ceiling near $1.14 to $1.15. Technical experts note that while the earlier breakout above $1.08 is still safe, the asset needs a lot more market volume to climb through the current resistance.

If XRP can manage a clean move above $1.15, the next big targets will be $1.17 and $1.20. On the other hand, dropping below the $1.11 mark would ruin the recent progress and put the older $1.08 level back on the map.

At the time of writing, XRP’s price is sitting at $1.1231.
