Ripple CEO Says ‘We Need Clarity for the Whole Industry’ as XRP Price Eyes $1.40 Breakout

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse rejected the idea that crypto firms want to avoid rules, stating that “in order for the industry to succeed in the United States, we need clarity for the whole industry.” Speaking at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, Garlinghouse stressed that Ripple keeps backing the federal CLARITY Act even after winning legal clarity for XRP (XRP-USD) in court. He noted that Ripple holds 75 licenses around the world, proving that the firm works inside government rules.

Garlinghouse explained that while court wins showed XRP is not a security, single court wins are not enough for the whole market. Ripple wants clear federal laws to give every crypto business simple rules in the United States. Company leaders met with lawmakers to talk about passing the CLARITY Act, pointing out that firms need clear rules to build products for the long run.

XRP’s Price Targets $1.40 Breakout on Rising Demand

While lawmakers talk about rules in Washington, XRP’s price moves higher toward a potential jump past $1.40. The token held its ground at $1.38 after dropping from a recent peak near $1.50. Staying above $1.40 keeps XRP’s price chart strong, while dropping below $1.38 could lead to a bigger price fall toward lower support levels.

Futures market data shows stable buyer interest across crypto exchanges. Open interest holds near 2.24 billion XRP, while funding rates stay positive at 0.01%. Positive rates show that buyers are paying small fees to keep their long trades open. Technical chart tools show that staying above key trend lines helps push the price toward resistance at $1.42 and $1.50.

At the time of writing, XRP’s price is sitting at $1.39.
