AI Mega-Cap Rally Sends LCF ETF Volume Soaring

Touchstone US Large Cap Focused ETF (LCF) has seen unusual trading volume, which is 20× higher than its average daily volume.

The ETF is heavily tilted toward mega-cap tech, and several top holdings are moving on fresh AI- and growth-driven headlines: Alphabet (9.1% weight) continues its powerful rally as Wall Street reiterates Strong Buy ratings on surging search and cloud demand tied to Gemini and enterprise AI, while Microsoft (8.0%) draws bullish commentary despite heavy data-center capex, with analysts highlighting its massive AI-focused Fairweather infrastructure build-out and strong Copilot and Azure growth. Nvidia (7.5%) is in focus as it reportedly restarts production of its RTX 3060 GPU to serve budget gamers and maintains Strong Buy backing on expectations that its next-gen Vera Rubin platform and still-intense AI chip demand will support further upside. Apple (7.3%) is benefiting from an upgrade to Buy and higher price targets on market-share gains and resilience amid rising memory costs, and Meta Platforms (6.1%) faces large AI-driven capex and a new layoff round but remains a Street favorite on expectations that AI-enhanced engagement and ad performance will drive robust earnings. Amazon (6.1%) is also a key driver, with strong box-office results from its film “Project Hail Mary” and accelerating AWS AI revenue reinforcing its Strong Buy status, while smaller weights like Bank of America, Exxon Mobil, Oracle, and Philip Morris are reacting to, respectively, upbeat analyst targets, oil-price volatility tied to Middle East developments, a sharp AI-infrastructure-led re-rating, and bullish calls on its earnings and dividend profile.
