Can XRP Really Hit $15 as Whales and ETFs Stoke the Fire?

XRP (XRP-USD) is trading around $2.28 today, but fresh whale moves, the approval of XRP futures ETFs, and bullish analyst targets up to $15 are giving the token serious momentum. When whales start moving $700 million out of circulation and ETFs open the gates to new institutional money, supply gets squeezed just as fresh demand floods in. That tightening dynamic has triggered major breakouts in crypto before—and XRP could be setting up for the next one.

Whales Move Mountains of XRP Behind the Scenes

It’s not just small traders buying the dip. XRP whales moved more than $700 million worth of tokens in April alone. One eye-popping move saw 131 million XRP—worth about $273 million—shifted in a single swoop.

At the same time, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission greenlit ProShares’ XRP futures ETFs, with trading set to kick off April 30. That opens the door for bigger money to flow into XRP. This should hopefully give fresh muscle to any rally attempts.

Analysts Set Their Sights on $15 and Beyond

Forecasts are flying almost as fast as the whales are swimming. The Currency Analytics flagged $15 as a realistic target if demand stays strong and institutional money pours in.

Sistine Research went even bigger, calling $33 to $50 a “conservative” target. Meanwhile, TradingView analysts say XRP could make a run to $6.50 once it clears key technical levels.

The technical setup isn’t hurting the case either. FXStreet noted that XRP has broken out of a falling wedge pattern, historically a bullish signal. As long as XRP holds above $2.22, the odds lean toward a fast march up to $3, and possibly higher.

XRP’s Shrinking Supply Could Light the Fuse

Exchange data paints an even tighter picture. CryptoQuant reported that over 50,500 XRP—worth around $4.7 billion—have been withdrawn from trading platforms since late April. That supply squeeze could amplify any buying pressure coming from ETFs and fresh whale positioning.

Adding a final kicker, Bitcoin market sentiment is still strong, with Peter Chung of Presto sticking to his $210,000 Bitcoin target for 2025. If Bitcoin flies, it could lift XRP right along with it—and investors can track real-time price moves and sentiment shifts easily through TipRanks’ Cryptocurrency Center.
