The TipRanks Stock Analysis tab presents the ‘Smart Score’ of a stock. This unique system incorporates 8 market factors to score stocks on a scale of 1 to 10. It is easy to use while giving you a detailed stock analysis. Here’s how it works.
Smart Score Stock Analysis
The Stock Analysis tab immediately shows you the Smart Score of the stock you are researching. 10 is the highest score, and 1 is the lowest. The score is categorized into three main groups:
Outperform – stocks with a score of 8, 9, or 10
Neutral – stocks with a score of 4, 5, 6, or 7
Underperform – stocks with a score of 1, 2, or 3
Stock Analysis Overview
Next, the Stock Analysis Overview presents the 8 market factors that contribute to the overall Smart Score. At a glance, you can see the sentiment or activities of Wall Street analysts, financial bloggers, hedge funds, corporate insiders, individual investors, news sentiment, technical and fundamental factors.
For each market factor, you can click on the link in blue at the bottom of the tile to get full details.
Stats & Charts
Scroll down to see the stock’s volume and value for the time period you select on the chart. On the upper right-hand side you can adjust the time period from the default of 1 year, to a range between 5 days and 5 years.
Look below the chart for the most recent statistics related to price, range, volume, market cap, beta, PE ratio, EPS, earnings date, dividend, price target, and more.
Delve deeper into the price target and analyst ratings, by clicking on “See Price Target” below the stats.
Where to Find the Stock Analysis Tab
The tab is available when you research a stock on TipRanks. You can put the name of the stock you want to research in the search bar on the TipRanks homepage. You can also use the in the header navigation bar throughout the site, or you can click on one of the stocks on the menu bar.
To see the Smart Score for any stock, simply click on ‘Stock Analysis’ on the menu on the left-hand side of the analyst price target page, the data appears when you research a stock on TipRanks.
