“Learning to choose is hard. Learning to choose well is harder. And learning to choose well in a world of unlimited possibilities is harder still, perhaps too hard.”
― Barry Schwartz, The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less
How do you choose which stocks to invest in when you want to expand your portfolio?
Making informed decision involves making comparisons. Yet, making comparisons can be challenging – especially when it comes to the stock market. There are literally thousands of different companies to invest in, and the amount of data that is available to make informed decisions, including key technical indicators, analyst consensus, price targets, dividend information and more can be overwhelming.
Earlier this year we released our Stock Comparison tool. It enables you to easily compare up to 7 stocks at a time and see how they fair on key indicators, including our unique datasets. Here’s how it works.
Select the Stocks You Want to Compare
Of course, you may not know which stocks you want to compare. In which case, we’ve defined 8 popular categories for you to choose from. They are:
– Bank Stocks
– Mega Cap Stocks
– Large Cap Stocks
– High Dividend Stocks
– Biotech Stock
– Oil Stocks
– Cannabis Stocks
If you have other stocks in mind, you can easily enter them in the search bar. Regardless of whether you select a category, or enter your own stocks, you can easily switch which stocks appear in the results by clicking on the ‘x’ in the stock name and entering any other.
Let’s compare oil stocks. The 7 stocks that appear in the category search are those generating the most interest.
The results enable you to easily compare key indicators, including many of our unique data sets. You can add up to 11 indicators to the results including media buzz, insider signal, best analyst consensus, and more.
You can see exactly how the stocks compare, including their Smart Score, our proprietary rating system based on 8 unique market factors.
As with all our tables you can sort how the results appear in by clicking on the column name. You can add any stock to your Smart Portfolio by hovering your mouse over its name and clicking on the blue + that appears. Click on the stock name to go to Stock Price Target & Analyst Rating page.
You can easily compare stock performance, usually going back to 2017, using the chart. It gives you a clear overview of how the stocks have been performing and shows you their return over a period of time. Hover your mouse along the chart to see how the stocks performed on any given day.
Now, Give it a Try!
Our Stock Comparison tool is an easy way to get a comprehensive stock comparison, that includes our valuable data sets, to help you make informed decisions.
We invite you to try it out, and of course, share your feedback with us.
