The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is sending a team to probe a Thanksgiving Day accident on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge involving a Tesla Model S that may have been employing "Full Self-Driving" software, the Associated Press reports, citing the agency. The eight-vehicle pileup resulted in nine people being treated for minor injuries, including a child who was hospitalized, and the Tesla driver reported "Full Self-Driving" was operating when the accident occurred and the vehicle unexpectedly braked while traveling at 55 miles per hour.
