SoftBank’s Vision Fund will invest $500M in OpenAI’s latest funding round, The Information’s Kate Clark and Cory Weinberg report. The funding round values the ChatGPT developer at $150B before the investment, a person familiar with the deal says. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Apple (AAPL) is no longer in talks to participate in the round, while Microsoft expected to invest around $1B, adding to the $13B it has already put into the company, and Nvidia (NVDA) is also expected to participate in the round.
