UniCredit (UNCRY) has built a stake of less than 4% in Assicurazioni Generali (ARZGY), Sonia Sirletti and Tiago Alfaro of Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter. The lender built the position in Generali over time and the rational for the operation would be financial, not strategic, Bloomberg’s sources added.
