Walmart said it intends to increase average hourly wages for its U.S. store employees beginning next month, Reuters’ Siddharth Cavale reports. The company’s new wage boost raises its average hourly pay to $17.50 from $17 and will reflect in March 2 paychecks, the author says, citing a company spokesperson. The spokesperson told Reuters in an email that the minimum wage will increase by as much as $2 for staff at its U.S. stores. Reference Link
